Some kinetics experiments

Kinetics means rate of reaction in chemistry.

a) The effect of concentration and temperature

You should have studied this at GCSE, discovering that rate of reaction increases with increasing temperature and concentration (or pressure if dealing with gases). This can be confirmed using the reaction between magnesium and hydrochloric acid. This makes an excellent investigation and should identify the really good practical chemists. I haven't shown you any video for this one - there's not much to see!

In order to make sense of the effect of temperature on rate of reaction you will have to understand activation energy.

b) The effect of catalysis

You can find out all about catalysis and see a helpful demonstration here.
