Assessed Practical Work for Edexcel- Units 1-6 by Halesowen College
This page guides you through all of the assessed practicals in units 1-6
AS Unit 3 and A2 Unit 6 |
---|
These units are worth 20% of the AS Level and 20% of the A2 level and will be internally assessed. You will be assessed in four areas: |
a) General Practical Competence |
b) Qualitative Observation |
c) Quantitative Measurement |
d) Preparation |
You may be assessed on components (b), (c) and (d) separately or you may combine components (c) and (d) in a multi-stage experiment. If you follow the multi-stage route, then experiment 5.4.3f would be a typical example involving all the techniques you are likely to meet. |
You can find more details in the Edexcel specification here. |
