Buffer solutions

Watch the video and note which solution does not change much in pH. You may wish to refer to the picture which shows the colours of various pH solutions with full range indicator:

You should have found that the mixture of ethanoic acid and sodium ethanoate solution changed little in pH. This is because it was acting as a buffer solution.
